The ANP - National Agency of Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuel Human Resources Program - was created in 1999 in order to meet the needs of the petroleum industry, natural gas and biofuel; since then, the ANP has invested more than R$ 100 million to 4.500 undergraduate and graduate scholarships. Among the participants is the Itajubá Federal University with the UNIFEI - PRH 16.
The Program is an initiative of the ANP, a special independent member of the Indirect Federal Administration under the Ministry of Mines and Energy, which objective is to promote the regulation, contracting and monitoring of economic activities of the petroleum industry.
The objective of PRH16 is to prepare professionals for the energy and petroleum industry in Brazil, which is passing through a deep restructuring process, reaching all agents involved. In this new context, PRH16 focuses in the personnel training, providing the students a basic tool to be able to understand and participate in the hole process, correlating also these with the socio-economic environment and the implications related to environmental and energy areas. The PRH16 works in the Energy Engineering and in the Oil & Gas Engineering, accomplishing seven modes of the Engineering area: Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Environmental, Control and Automation, Computing and Water Resources.
